Description

The Lindy 4K30 HDMI and USB over IP system is a powerful solution for creating a wide range of bespoke, distributed AV and KVM installations. The system comprises Encoder (No. 38396) and Decoder (No. 38397) modules and a separate Controller module (No. 38395).

Please note: all modules are sold separately so you can build and scale according to your requirements.

One HDMI source, such as a PC or Media Player, connects to a single Encoder module; one HDMI display connects to a single Decoder module (No. 38397). Multiple Encoders and Decoders can be combined for a variety of multicast distribution options. The controller module is used to manage the full installation and direct the multiple sources to the multiple displays giving maximum creative freedom and customisation options. All the modules can be connected to a 1G managed switch to create a network of connected devices.

Additionally, the system supports USB KVM control access for each connected module, so connected PCs at the Encoder end can be controlled by KVM consoles at the remote Decoder end.

As well as single display options, combining multiple Decoders and their connected displays allows the user to create impressive video wall and matrix solutions.

This Controller unit features dual network ports, one for network control and one for multicast video distribution, and provides control via Web GUI, TCP, RS-232, IR and GPIO. The convenient PoE gigabit interface allows users to install the unit without connecting a PSU.

The Lindy Fibre Optic HDMI 4K30 Extender is a cost effective, high performance solution for sending reliable HDMI signals over longer distances using low cost fibre optic cable. Supporting a maximum resolution of 3840x2160@60Hz, video content can be seen with incredible 4K UHD clarity at distances up to 300m, perfect for use in commercial situations that require the source and display to be positioned far apart that may also include video wall setups or presentation equipment, as well as other applications in pro-AV and digital signage. With support for multi-channel audio, this device will ensure an impressive three-dimensional surround sound performance to compliment video content. As opposed to other extender solutions, this system requires only a single OM3 LC duplex multimode (50/125µm) fibre cable, which can be detached from the transmitter and receiver, also ensuring cabling can be ran though smaller spaces for a simple installation process. The extender system comprises two modules, a transmitter and a receiver, which are connected directly to both the HDMI source and display.
